Not to beat a dead horse here, but I'm going to second this recommendation. Learning a new programming language and API is tough -- learning it without a good book is even tougher. There are a few books available now, and the headaches you'll save by going through just one of them will more than cover the expense of the book. If money is a problem, I believe that Apple has a tutorial on their website someplace that could get you going as well -- but, a book would be the much better way of going about it.

I think this is better, than trying to ask a lot of questions, because it gives
you a great overview about the cocoa framework.
