XML MIME & OS Types

  • Subject: XML MIME & OS Types

Hello, do you know who is writing this email :) ? Yep, it's Fred again! So thanks in advance

My (little) question is now to know if someone knows what I have to put in the MIME type & OS type on the "Document Types" section, in the Target sheet for a XML-based file? I wanted to put "TEXT" as the OS type, but opening a "Property List Editor"-created document (to see its type creator) didn't show me this info. I know Apple is not advising its developers to use creator & type codes anymore, but putting TEXT as a document filter for an open panel isn't that much filtering to me. Any advice.
Note: For the MIME type, it's the same question: should I put the same MIME as plain text???

Thanks and Wonderful Cocoa-ish year 2003 to all of you ;) !

- Fred
