I am of the opinion Metal should go away entirely. The sense that it tries
to convey is inappropriate (it's also ineffective), IMO. Nothing is going to
give me the sense that I am talking to my digital camera more than having
physically plugged it in myself. The more consistent the appearance of
applications, the easier they are for Customers to learn. Perhaps metal will
go the way of the dodo if we are fortunate.
