Hi,
I wouldnt say that you are a 'beginner'. I'd say that you are new to Cocoa - most beginner books have the problem of running out of steam before you get to the "good parts" if you will. I just recently started Mac programming, and the book I bought and greatly enjoy is called "Cocoa Programming" by Scott Anguish et al. Excellent book, starts out basic for new Cocoa programers, without explaining what variables are, then it gets into it, and seems to stay strong. A heavy thick book, one that I found is worth it.
The authors previously used NextStep extensively, so they are speaking from many years of experience.
I high reccomend it.
Regards,
-ryan
