Because an alias record contains a FSRef as well as some other info
which allows you to do just what you asked. What happens to a FSRef if
the user moves the file to the trash and then creates a new file with
the same name in place of the original file. Aliases handle this
correctly, I don't think a FSRef will. Will FSRef work on non-HFS.
