Color differences between images in Cocoa and Carbon?

  • Subject: Color differences between images in Cocoa and Carbon?

Hi,

I was wondering why the following is true: some images (for example the small Ripples.png file in the root Desktop Pictures folder) have a color difference when you compare the Finder preview to the picture when opened in Preview. In the ripples.png case, the Preview version is slightly darker than the Finder preview.

Does anyone know why this happens and how I can make Cocoa display those images in the Carbon colors?

Thanks,

Jan Van Boghout
