Simple one window app.

Simple one window app.

  • Subject: Simple one window app.

I have a straightforward one window app, created in PB. I have subclassed
NSWindow so that I can customize my window border etc. But, now I want to
monitor an external event (a file) for changes. I could do this in an NSTask
or a simple loop, I haven't decided yet - but how do I arrange for my monitor
loop to be called?

I guess normally apps are event driven from some user interface component. I
haven't got a user interface, apart from a window, besides I want things to
start immediately the app is run and not wait for a user to press a key.

Once again, thanks to everyone here. I only recently started in Cocoa and
found this list to be invaluable.
