To me, this is just a little silly, as however many 1000's of developers have already gotten their expectations up. With that much of your developer base already psyched up about potential new features, you're still going to have a hard time throwing a wet blanket on them.

Unless the NDA includes a clause prohibiting whining to Apple if your favorite features get cut :).
