Yes, they are correct, it is the editor, not the XML APIs, that is broken.

Don't worry about it. I'm 99% sure the problem is with Property List Editor
and not the XML Frameworks. The error seems to usually come up while
working on a plist in the editor. If you close the plist and open it again
then it should be correct.

Defaults Manager is great for this sort of thing and doesn't have this nasty
bug. I've created a coupon for those following this thread. Use coupon
"PLIST" to get Defaults Manager for only $10 for the next week (actually
until July 13th).
