ABLocalizedPropertyOrLabel does not localize

On a non-US system - the normal address book application shows localized values-names(attribute names) -
using

ABLocalizedPropertyOrLabel

with AB properties or labels, I allways receive US-system names. These are the names used
within ABAddressBook internally.

How do I get localized names. I could localize by hand, but that's certainly not as good as using
the system...
