Ummm, ahh, I wouldn't do that. First, if anything goes wrong with your beta software, you could easily loose major portions of your home directory.

Second, sharing prefs between versions just makes me feel ill at ease. Of course this is a long way from the Rhapsody and Mac OS X developer previews where I had prefs hopelessly corrupted. I would hope Apple has that pretty well under control at this point. But still....
