I finally found out how to avoid this irritating error. It has been
very annoying to program without having the help of the debugger, which
this error caused.
The error occurred when loading in the nib file. Why, I still don't
know, but by going into the preferences in IB, setting the 'Nib file
compatibility' to '10.2 and later format', and forcing a new save of
the nib file. IB will ask if it should use the default or document
format. Choose the default format.
Now the debugger will not complain about this NSPopUpList error,
whatever that is anyway.

I searched the archives, and there were a couple of other messages
related to this. But no solution, however.
Have you tried cleaning your target? Sometimes this helps when PB
spits out odd error messages.
