What would be the best way to alter the firewall config file from a C/C++ program?
Does the ipfw kernel extension send a signal whenever its table is flushed? If so I could listen for it and re-state my rule if it occurs.

My guess is you'd have to alter the firewall config in
/Library/Preferences/com.apple.sharing.firewall.plist
