I posted the original topic, about localizing my freeware/open source app to Japanese.
Thank you everyone who has helped. I haven't yet tried AppleGlot, which also may
be something similar to what Matt Gemell offers.

Also, not *everything* can be translated straight from a dictionary making people like
Wesley and Chris Long very helpful.
