Notification when Internation Input changes

  • Subject: Notification when Internation Input changes

I initially posted this question to the Carbon-Dev list, but haven't
received any response...

Is there a way (Carbon or Cocoa) to be notified when the current
keyboard map changes due to the user selecting an item in the
Input menu or making a change in
System Preferences / International / Input?

My app displays a keyboard not unlike KeyCaps.app, and I'd like to
update characters displayed on the key buttons when the input map
changes. I suppose I could set up a timer and poll for the change
but that seems so 20th-century...

Thanks for any tips,
Christopher
