Hello,
I would to buy a new video card for my "old" PowerMac G4/450 (HD Maxtor
60Gb, 384MB RAM and MacOSX 10.26). Recently i have see some good prices
in a shop near my home, but i don't know if these video card can be
used with MacOSX.
This is the list:
NVIDA TNT2 32MB SDR
NVIDIA TNT2 32MB SDR+TV
NVIDIA Geoforce 2 64mb MX400
Nvidia Geoforce 4 64mb MX440 sdr + tv
Nvidia Geoforce 4 64mb mx440 ddr + tv
Nvidia geoforce4 128mb mx440 sdr + tv
Nvidia geoforce4 128mb mx440 ddr + tv
Nvidia geoforce fx-5200 128mb ddr + tv
Nvidia geoforce4 128mb ti280-vivo ddr+tv
ATI radeon 7000 64mb sdr
ati radeon 9100 64mb ddr
maxtron g-550 32mb dual head
What of these video cards are compatible with MacOSX? And what the best
choice? I would to use the Quartz Extreme engine but i don't know how
the performance accelleration. If this "acceleration" is about 2% i
will not buy a new video card and i will wait for a new computer
(around 2 years)... or i will buy more ram....
Is my computer too old for the next releases of MacOSX ?
