But now whenever I run the app, dyld complains that it can't find the

There are a trillion little settings you have to get right, and
they're
scattered all over a dozen different dialogs and panes and panels. An
official checklist would be really great.
Has anyone brought this up in an ADC developer feedback context? I'm
not comfortable with my understanding of the issue, but it sure seems
like the tools should make it easier / more automated. It's a subject
which seems to come up often enough.
Aye!
The other side of the question is whether we developers should ship
embedded frameworks. If 12 popular freeware/shareware apps all embed
EDCommon, aren't we over-doing it just a bit?
Back when hard drive space was expensive, this made sense. Now, who
cares? If every framework got installed in the same place
(/Library/Frameworks), and user's felt OK about entering a password and
giving that kind of access to an installer (which is questionable), it
would work great even with multiple versions of a framework, but why
sweat it? Mac users like drag-and-drop applications without fuss or
muss, so give them that whenever possible.
