To summarize this thread.

John C. Randolph likes to use the C preprocessor macro '#define is =='. Many dig this macro as well. Jay Vaughan disagrees and thinks it's bad to do this. Many agree with him. The end.

Take this off list guys. I think everyone's gotten the useful bits out of it.
