I have to say: I prefer 3-button mice and have for years, but I don't have any trouble switching back to the stock 1-button Mac mouse. Actually, 2 buttons plus wheel gives me the worst time.

I used a three button mouse for something over a year. I found that my ideal was 2+wheel, despite extended usage.

Until I watched my father, an experienced engineer and financial manager, but neophyte computer user, struggle with the left button, I was in the "ship a two button mouse" camp. Now, I believe that a one button mouse is probably the best to ship with, but that any experienced user ought to pick up a two or three button mouse as their needs demand.

So, perhaps, like many other debates, it really depends on the user?
