I looked into using Package maker, but my developer tools has no documentation at all.

How odd! I couldn't find it on apple's site, either. When I click on the Help menu item from within the app, I get the full docs in the Help Viewer app.

Like I said, though - I'm using 10.1. Perhaps the help file has moved. On my system, there's an alias to it in /Developer/Documentation/Help - maybe it's been moved there. Have you tried using the locate command - i.e. 'locate PackageMaker.help' - in a Terminal window, or using Sherlock to find it?

i think package maker is based on the pax command line tool, so man pax should be helpful.
