IB is brilliant, no question about it. I've never seen anything else
like it, and it's one of the greatest strengths of the OS X
development environment for me. Still room for a few improvements here
and there nevertheless. :)
IB is even more brilliant when you consider that it hasn't changed in
any fundamental way since 1988. Yes, formatters and layout lines and
the instances outline view and other things have been added, but the
basic drag from palette, use inspector, control drag connections, play
with springs, set custom class, etc. has been there for 15 years. In
1988, Windows 3.1 hadn't been released and there were no GUI builders
for any platform other than smalltalk. Too bad that others were not
better at copying IB.
