Alternative to Interface Builder?

Does anyone know of an alternative way to produce resources to Interface
Builder. My wrist hurts from all that mousing. The procedure for connecting
a thing to its controller is especially tedious.
I know that there are those who consider any graphical user interface to be
superior to editing text files. Not I.
