Unfortunately, he probably cannot live on $300-500 per month. That is
what some of the people competing with him for employment will
accept, because they do not live in First World economies. The current
trend is to move more and more development work offshore. Case in
point - Quark has moved ALL engineering efforts offshore. Microsoft
expects to move a significant portion of their engineering work out of
the country as well, and expects the percentage to increase each year.
There's the irony, you see, because if the US didn't spend so much time
trying to suppress every other currency, and over-inflate their own,
they wouldn't have this problem to start with.
