I've also thought that a Cocoa FAQ is long overdue. I think the
problem is it's too large a task for any one person to take on, and
it's hard to get the ball rolling without being willing to at least
take a major stab at covering a lot of ground.
I'm willing to take a very small first step towards the end goal. I've
put up a web page for "collecting questions" that frequently show up.
If you'd like to participate in this process, please go to the
following URL:
http://www.red-sweater.com/cocoafaq/index.php
It's a list of (right now 2!) questions that pop up here "frequently."
I've put a form on the page to allow readers to add their own questions
to the list. I suggest we all keep our eyes peeled for issues that
seem to be recurring, and if we have a spare moment, add it to the
list. Please just try to use some wisdom in choosing what you add.
If it starts to take off, I'll add categories to keep the questions
easier to browse, and at some point people can start biting of
"answering duties."

That raises a good point. Is anybody maintaining a FAQ for these sorts
of things? An organized FAQ would be a heck of a lot handier to noobs
such as myself, plus they're a great way to learn things you didn't
know you didn't know. (If you know what I mean.)
