I've seen it in action. It sure looks far better than the old stuff.
On one part, I don't think it's that confusing as the switch view
control that looks the same as the new 'tabs' does a similar
functionality.
I agree though that it would be nice to preserve better the 'tab'
imagery. Panther is nowhere near final, so they might as well come up
with someone that has the best of the old and the new.
If you're entitled to it, send _polite_ feedback.
