Hi,
I programmatically copy a file owned by the user id 501 to a remote machine
where the user id 501 doesn't exist. Thus, on the remote machine, when I ask
Get Info for the destination file, I see a blank Owner, like an unknow
owner. In cases like this what should I do? Should I set to the destination
file the first existing Owner id I find in the remote machine?
If so, how could I do that? Should I get the user id that logged into that
remote volume with the "statfs" (f_owner) unix command?
Please give me an help. Thank you.

Regards
