Again, don't obscure the code. As Jobs has stated himself, any copy
prevention (or, in this case, modification prevention) scheme can and
will be circumvented, so it's really best to just leave it out
entirely.
The user annoyance caused by code obfuscation will likely be much
greater
than any possible gains from trying to prevent them from seeing the
code.
isn't it quite handy though that objective-c and c source gets compiled
and therefore obfuscated? imagine if that wasn't the case, and there
wasn't a 'hide source' option in project builder when compiling obj-c,
wouldn't you be interested in the answer to the same question about
obj-c/c source? i bet you would.
i do completely agree with the free mentality, but at the same time you
can understand people wanting to protect their hard work. i wish
obj-c/c didn't get obfuscated, but i can't help think that some
developers are quite happy with that fact - and i can understand that.
i've just come up against that exact problem and i'm going to have to,
to quote a clichi, reinvent the wheel. or at least remake one.
