I'm writing a kind of auditing software, which should retrieve and kind of display the list of hardware on the computer on which it's running, like the mouse model & number, the keyboard model & number, the screen model & umber, the available memory, the hard drives, etc ...

Any way of doing that ? clues, link, others ?

BTW, and a bit out of topic, I try to get the list of software (basically reading with NSBundle or CFBundle class/functions what's in /Application), anyway this work great for Cocoa application, but not for earlier (Carbon or old MacOS one), any tip for these ?
