So, PB + IB require 1G+ of RAM, and at least 4G of free disk space at the
startup volume. That's what I wanted to know. My memory vendor will be
happy... :(

"Helicopter sound" depends on many subjective factors, not to speak of
personal perception. It never disturbs me, though I am working at home in a
small room for 10-12 hours per day.
