Hey folks,

I want you to invite watching, using, and enhancing my document based partial TextEdit rebuild. I loved the old SimpleText and I really love TextEdit! But as I started to learn cocoa, I missed an TextEdit like example which is document based. So here it is!

TEPx is my learning project I want to share with you as a thank-you-gift for your immense implicit support in the past. And hoping you will like to support this project explicitly in the future, our sweet little cocoa community open source editor.

I toke so many tips and hint from this mailing list, thanks to all the mailing list members and to mamsam, which let me/us comfortably browse the mailing list. Many things are taken directly from Apples TextEdit. Thank you Apple and Ali Ozer.

TEPx is aimed to be an users editor like TextEdit and a code collection for programmers. The darwin of micro text editors. Therefor the Icon.

TEPx means TextEdit plus X. So what is the X?
- Quick access to important files
- Style based contents popup
- Word index
- Multi column multi page view
- Labels
- Wrap lines
- Execute Programs
- Search the Internet

Features of TextEdit and missing in TEPx:
- Encodings
- Localization support
- TextEdit's Prefs options
...

Take it (http://www.wendenstr329.de/ukos_tepx.html), watch it and send me your opinions and suggestions.

enjoy it

Uko
