Hello all mighty masters of cocoa,
I'm pretty new to Cocoa/Objective-C, coming from the Carbon/pre Carbon
world (and SunOS/Solaris). I've done some test stuff, but I have a
question that is probably pretty easy answered by the gurus that
inhabit this list.
Question:
What is the approach to use the NSDocument way for documents combined
with "Assistant", much like the one in ProjectBuilder when you make a
new Project?
It seems like that kind of solution twists the NSDocument way of
thinking rather awful. Should I stay away from the NSDocument way and
handle it myself, or is it a simple way to create a new document from
inside a ActionMenthod of the Controller for the Assistant Window?
OK, hope you understand. I know how I would have done in Carbon, but I
want to write this app in Cocoa/Objc. I will bug you later on loading
Cocoa plugin bundles, be sure of that.
Feels good to have taken this step into the world of Cocoa and Objc.
The final "push" was an article in MacTech (about Transmit). I've felt
exactly as he did about the ObjC syntax, and when he said "Do be
scared", I encouraged myself.

and those who can't.
