Multilingual name aliasing

The recent 'color' thread got me thinking about this again, as has some of my recent work. Is there an easy way to alias object names and their methods, without requiring the users of your object to go to any more work? I'm thinking probably some simple macro's, but I'm not sure how to define macro's for ObjC methods.

It's just that I always write in English, which will probably cause some issues for American users - even more so than other languages - because of the subtle differences (Americans forget about lots of u's, and have a strange obsession with z's where a good old 's' works just fine, etc).
