Hi fellows,
just joined this mailing list. Though it would be polite to give a little
introduction to myself. If you don't care, just delete this message! ;-)
My name is Dr. Christian von Toerne, I live in Germany (close to Cologne).
I've been developing software about as long as I can remember, starting
out with C64 and assembler (those were the days...), then moved on to
Amiga (C and assembler there), then bought my first Mac (a 7500, C again).
Moved on to a Linux box (C and C++ here), then again back to Mac (C, C++ and
objective C here). At work, I do (also) some SD in VC++ and VB on Windows.
I have quite some experience in C++, but I'm fairly new to objective C.
Had my "Hello World" experience on the Mac yesterday.
I haven't made up my mind of what kind of software to develop on the mac
(after all, that's just to spend my spare time), but besides starting a
project of my own, I could also take part in an existing project, if help
is wanted.
For the record, I have a special interest in computer graphics, and I love
anything mathematical. The latter is my projession, the former isn't. ;-)
