Dear all,
I'm putting together some bits and pieces I had around, in order to
set up a simple set of Cocoa wrappers for common tasks in OpenGL. Its
main purpose is to have a good starting point for applications that
have any sort of 3D data to visualize, entering the labyrinth of OpenGL
only for the most sophisticated functions: it is by no means the faster
and most efficient way to operate in 3D, but I hope it could be one of
the easiest. The first result of my work is available at:
http://www.postarmor.com/download/Cocoa3DTutorial.tgz
It is obviously still a work in progress (can we say pre-alpha?), but
has reached the point where it can be used for small demos: in fact, 4
tutorials of increasing difficulty are included. Documentation is of
course lacking, but it's my intention to make it a primary point when a
first stable set of features will be implemented. My intention is to
release it as open source (a SourceForge project is set up already, but
I haven't committed any file yet), and I'm open to
opinions/ideas/suggestions/whatever... I'd really appreciate any type
of feedback!
Regards
Paolo
