Hi Michael,
I have Oracle9i running on my MacOS X 10.2.6 PowerBook without
problems. Installation instructions can be found here:
http://www.macdevcenter.com/pub/a/mac/2002/11/12/oracle_part1.html
http://www.macdevcenter.com/pub/a/mac/2002/11/19/oracle_part2.html
http://www.macdevcenter.com/pub/a/mac/2003/01/03/oracle_part3.html
http://venzke.org/oracle
And yes, the install procedure is quite complex.
Cheers,
-Ralph.
The Oracle release for 10.2 states it needs Server. Has anyone gotten
it to work on the normal client OS/X? I have Sybase running, but
having Oracle also would make debugging easier. The Oracle install
procedure looked far more complex than the Sybase one. Any comments?
