Hello Mark,

Am 13.11.2003 um 16:18 schrieb Mark Davis:

In the Terminal I can type this in and it gets me my whois information:
whois -h whois.nic.uk realmacs.co.uk

When I use it through NSTask,

[whois setArguments:[NSArray arrayWithObjects:@"-h
whois.nic.uk",@"realmacs.co.uk"]];

it returns a message saying:

usage: whois [-aAdgilmQrR6] [-c country-code | -h hostname] [-p port]
name ...

Any idea why this isn't working?

I think this should be:

[whois setArguments:[NSArray arrayWithObjects:@"-h", @"whois.nic.uk", @"realmacs.co.uk", nil]];

The "-h" and the host name are two separate arguments. And don't forget the nil at the end of the list. :-)

Kind regards,
Rene Puls
