The filtering example is excellent and quite informative, but is there a way to get it to act like the iTunes search box? Even if I turn off 'Sends whole search string', it stops after it fires the first action rather than continually filtering in real time.

The searchMenuTemplate is an NSMenu that you can hook up. So, like in Mail, the little search icon can pop up the menu.
