Hi,
how can I get the pure text from a PDF file?

pdf2text which is part of xpdf, an open source pdf thing. the pdf2text part does not involve any gui stuff and is pretty easily (i managed it) compiled and run as a command line tool in os x and does exactly what you're asking.
