Well, I don't know about Panther, but in Jaguar, /usr/bin/gzip and /usr/bin/bzip2 are installed by the BSD subsystem. /usr/bin/unzip is installed by the developer tools.

Hi!

does anyone know if /usr/bin/unzip is installed by default in OS X? i've got a feeling that it's a part of BSD Subsystem (or whatever the package is called).
