Hi Scott,
Nothing in app support. Good call on the prefs file; but I had him send
it to me, and it looks fine. He also deleted prefs, and still has the
behaviour.

The app isn't crashing, so no backtrace is ever being logged. The
exception is being caught by AppKit and execution continues.
That's why I would love to be able to induce a backtrace during the exception.
