A healthy and thriving development community needs to have as many
development resources as it can support.
Look at the number of dotNET resources.
Look at the number of Mono resources, and that's a smaller community
than the Cocoa community.
Speaking as someone that watched NeXT, and wanted desperately to learn
OBjective C back in the early NeXT days, but couldn't afford the
hardware. A developer that learned Windows, and OS/2 because he
couldn't justify $1400 for an OpenStep/x86 package, one that was an
avid reader of the few online OpenStep resources, I love seeing the
growth in Cocoa resources that have sprung up, and will happily support
any and all of them.
I just hope that I am not surrounding by myopic people that cannot
embrace the growth within their community.
