This question is not Cocoa-specific but since you're all using Xcode
or Project Builder someone might have an answer.
The 'Auto-insert "}"' feature does not seem to work with non-US
keyboard layouts. Maybe this is because the initiating "{"-character
has to be accessed using an Alt-combination (e.g. Alt+8 on a German
keyboard). I've tried to override the default key-bindings, changing
"processOpenBrace:" from "{" to "~8" without success.
Any suggestions?
Stefan
I noticed the same behaviour (also with german layout). It works with
the US-layout.
My solution for all this stuff is to use different keyboard layouts
(Preferences/Landeseinstellungen
(this is obviously the german name, I do not know the english one)). I
use the US-layout also at work,
so I got used to it. And for programming and TeX it is faster, because
you do not need combinations
of three keys for stuff like \|[]{}.
