I don't think it's fair to base Panther adoption predictions on how
Jaguar was adopted. When Jaguar came out, the installed base of OSX
compared to OS9 was very small compared to what it is now. Jaguar was
the first release that got massive adoptation because it was the first
release that was really really good: it was a massive improvement over
10.1, it attracted many OS9 users who were afraid of OSX before. In
short: there are a LOT more 10.2 installs out there now than there were
10.1 installs when 10.2 was new. I expect 10.2 support to be relevant
for a FAR longer period of time than 10.1 support was.
