Here are my observations after playing around with Panther and Xcode
for a few hours:
1. Panther is noticeably faster -- particularly in drawing sheets. Its
so fast that occasionally it forgets to draw the buttons on the sheet.
I saw this while running my application under Xcode, but not while
running it standalone. Not sure if I have a bug, but didn't see this
with 10.2.
2. NSBoxes are now a drawing well rather than flat, and you can't
change it back to the way it looked under 10.2. I had to re-giggle the
spacings in Interface Builder to make them look better.
3. Application file size -- previously my app was about 650k bytes --
after Xcode its 170k. How does this happen -- compression?
4. If you convert a Projectbuilder project to Xcode it still is a
Projectbuilder file in the finder. As far as I can tell, the only way
to change it to an Xcode file is to do it in the finder.
