Thanks Andreas! But this does not really help in my case... What I am
trying to fix is Saft, the full-screen plugin for Safari, which can be found
at www.versiontracker.com.

I used the method in tn2062.html for auto hiding the menu bar, but it
did not work well since whenever you move mouse in the menu bar area,
it shows, but this area does cover important buttons in some web pages.
So what I did in the latest version of Saft is to add my own tracking area
at the top of the screen about only two pixels high. It works well, but I
hade to use setshowmenubar (or whatever it is called) to show the menu bar
when entering that area, then the menu bar shows, AND Dock shows too
if user not has Dock "Turn Hiding On" checked.

So I need a method just to turning on Dock hiding. Or there is other
choices?
