Split views, tab views and IB

I'm trying to make a splitview of a tabview and outline view in IB, but
when I select both and make it, the tab view has a 10 pixel or so
border around it, which causes the outline view to be sized larger to
accommodate the invisible border, making the outline view's frame
larger than the visible frame of the tab view. How can I make it so
that the split view makes the two views the same width?
