Timeouts in SmallSocket?

  • Subject: Timeouts in SmallSocket?

I'm trying to use SmallSocket in a project, but I need to deal with the possibility that the user enters an incorrect IP address. I thought that I would just put a timeout in the socket and give an error message if the server couldn't be connected in that time. However, SmallSocket doesn't have timeouts builtin. Does anyone know how I might add timeouts? Or, is there a better solution to this problem?
