is there a misckit for macosx
Not yet. Contact Don Yacktman <email@hidden> for the current
status.
Status: There isn't an OS X specific kit yet but there will be one.
I'm not dead yet! I'm just pining for...a minimal amount of free time
right now. I don't dare give any estimates as to when it will be
available, though I certainly agree with anyone who says the sooner
the better!
MiscKit sounds to me like an ideal candidate for becoming a SourceForge
project-- if for no other reason than because SF's tools might make it
easier for you to get others to do the work for you. :-)
Is CurrentNSMiscKit.gnutar.gz the likeliest candidate for someone on
Mac OS X who's interested in the kit? Some of the packages have names
suggesting they're meant for use on Mac OS X server, so I'm not quite
sure.
