Problems iterating folders

In my app you can choose a folder an iterate throught it's contents so
that a menu gets shown reflecting the hierarchy of the folder. However,
with some folders the iterations process gets stuck between 2 folders
and causes my app to crash.
Does anyone know why this happens and how I can solve it? Currently the
only folder I know that causes problems is "Jedi Knight II Demo" (when
i remove the app inside that folder my app doesn't crash though).
