IB problem with NSMatrix

I am trying to set up a matrix of 7 checkboxes, one for each day of
the week, with Interface Builder. I want the initial state for the
checkboxes to all be selected. However, it seems that I am only
allowed to have four of them checked at any given time. If I try to
check a fifth one, one of the other checkboxes becomes deselected.
The mode for the NSMatrix is set to List, not Radio.
Does anyone have any suggestions or wisdom on this?
